OMG The Magic beat the lakers, The Orlando Magic beat the Los Angeles Lakers!

Jameer Nelson had 27 points, Rashard Lewis 22 and Dwight Howard tossed in 18 while the Magic overcame Kobe Bryant’s season-high 41 points in the Magic’s 106-103 victory over the Western Conference-leading Los Angeles Lakers

Orlando held a lead late in the fourth quarter, and foul-plagued Dwight Howard hit a pair of free throws with just over a minute left. Rashard Lewis hit one of two free throws in the final minute to put the Magic up to stay.

Bryant missed a 3 at the buzzer that would have sent the game to overtime.

Howard scored 18 points in his second game back from a knee injury.

Orlando, which beat perennial Western Conference contender San Antonio on Thursday, was looking to validate itself as a legitimate NBA title contender.

Orlando’s been the beneficiary of a generous schedule. They caught San Antonio on the second of back-to-back games, and enjoyed the same advantage against the Lakers. Los Angeles lost to Miami on Friday.

But throw out all those factors, the bottom line was THE MAGIC BEAT THE LAKERS!

Well in the 2008 season they both look “outta-focus!”  After last years “deep” playoff run,  we were singing Super Bowl for the “Jaggies” but after the 10th loss of the season (31-24 to the Colts at home on a Thursday Night) this years record is “horrific” to say the least.   At least Head Coach Jack Del Rio wont be giving  Vito Stellino from the Florida Times Union a Christmas Present! (If he did, It would be a body bag!)

My buddy Senior Chief Bobby Davison is overseas serving our country proud, and had the chance to meet the “Mail Call” Gunny SGT R. Lee Ermey. Bobby’s Father Tommie “Pops” Davison used to tell us boys, “Why run when you can Walk” (The Old Bull - Young Bull story) Well Bobby is now walking with the old guard!
